CAMILLA BRONZINI: Born in Rome on 20 May 1965. She took a degree in Economics and Business while attending a course in golsmithing techniques at the San Giacomo Decorative Arts School in Rome. As a child in the fabulous Seventies she traveled the world, her father was in love with art, she came across Roman Micromosaic at the Vatican School of Mosaic: her experiences gathered in a world of shapes, cultures and colours that today blends inside LE SIBILLE, the company started with Francesca and Antonella. She’s the Production and Export Manager of the company.
ANTONELLA PERUGINI: Born in Rome during the Sixties, after studying humanities in high school she took a degree in Psychology at La Sapienza University in Rome. She then followed her innate fascination with handcrafted jewels taking jewelry-making classes, thus paving her way to craftsmanship. Meeting her future business partner Camilla Bronzini convinced her to proceed down that path, sharing and developing with LE SIBILLE the creation of art objects.
FRANCESCA NERI SERNERI: Born in Rome on 1 April 1963. She studied Archeology at the University of Rome, focusing on cultures, arts and religions from all over the world; in the meantime she attended the San Giacomo Decorative Arts School, where she learned and experimented various goldsmithing and jewel designing techniques.
In her twenties she managed to travel to Eastern and Western countries, integrating with direct experience her academic studies. While travelling she also briefly worked as a fashion and accessories consultant: she produced jewels for a Romeo Gigli’s runway show premiering in Paris and curated by Franca Sozzani. Back then, her taste for the multicolor infinite of molten glass (luxuriously weared by Byzantine women) was already visible.
A fascination for ancient arts and crafts, a deep study of Roman Micromosaic and the crucial meetings with the Vatican masters led her to experience – just like in a Renaissance workshop – the sumptuous bond of precious metal, gemstones and the tiny tiles of molten glass.
In 1990 she founded LE SIBILLE with her current business partners, after designing the core line of the company: MICROMOSAIC.
